MIMIZED GENERATION

Over the years a generation has emerged that is sensitive to the scolding of father and mother. A new population of young people where everything that is spoken to them either hurts their ego, morals or violates their rights. We are not here criticizing, but using the right of freedom of expression to expose not people, but the most diverse behaviors in a cruel and violent world where to live it is necessary to have courage, firmness and principles established in reality. I remember like today, times when older people, specifically my maternal grandmother with whom I spent a long time in my life, asked me to go to the village shop and if I dared to disobey it my warning was saved for later when my father came home from work. If for fun reasons like playing in the village street with the games of the time like, flying a kite, playing marbles, pique hides and others led me to disobey my parents the exemplary punishment was sentenced. So much so that none of those punishments left any consequences, I grew up understanding that adults and elders should be respected and not ignored as if they were old pieces and useless furniture. The current generation does not wash the dish that eats the glass in which they drink their juice, does not make the bed that sleeps, does not pull the water after the bath and if asked in a tone of authority so that they do try to fit who is asking in the penal codes for abuse of authority. It doesn't even have the famous parent-teacher meeting as bimonthly or quarterly meetings were called for parents to find out how their children's report cards and performance were at the school they attended. The older generation is stronger because it has been tested and passed all the tests of life, at each inspection of quality and resistance he received the seal symbolically speaking of approval. But and the new generation with rare exceptions is clear, in the age of computers, information technology, cell phones, iPhones, iPads of last generation, do they know what it is to use a public telephone to plug or face long lines until they reach turn, even if the issue was emerging or urgent? Today everything is accessible, except the desire to copy the legacy left by the ancients. It is not possible to talk much about this subject on the agenda, since other young people will think that we are demoralizing the newest generation. If we enter here the opportunities that our grandparents, parents, uncles, they had to go to college or how they formed their families honestly and painfully working since they were boys so we would understand that it is not a question of demoralizing the new generation, but of drawing parallels between an old and a new generation and comparing them in their opportunities and chances obtained, which generation made the best use of what was available? I am 56 years old, no heartache from the past or my ancestors. I didn't have much but what I have was achieved with effort and honesty. Nothing falls from the sky, getting up early, sleeping late, unfolding to do what has to be done to conquer is what we need. Enough of mi mi mi, the sun has risen for everyone but it will only warm up those who know how to enjoy it. TxT.
